2 financial systems in 1 company

My company wants to buy a financial system for a services department while keeping the current financial system on the other service department. In order to consolidate all of the information they plan to use a data warehouse to print all the financial reports. Is this common? Does it comply with accounting regulations (external audit/irs) Thanks

    Both the products are same vendor/ same brand that you did not reveal. If the products are same or from different vendors they can work fine. Though some expert persons will be required.
