Our staff uses Lenovo workstations that are very near end of life so as a result boards are starting to fail faster and faster. We are very close to a hardware refresh but I fear that we will run out of spares before the refresh occurs.
All of the rest of the components in the workstations are fine and in perfect working order so what I wanted to do was purchase 5-10 aftermarket motherboards and just swap them out. However, the PSUs in those workstations are 14pin TFX and all the aftermarket motherboards I am finding are 24pin so I was wondering if there was a way to use these 14pin PSUs on a regular 24pin board. Maybe there is an adapter of some sort or if I could just re-pin the exiting cables to work on a 24 pin.
Any help would be appreciated, even if it's "no there is no way to do that.".
