TechCrunch hacked

It’s always tough for media companies who get hacked. They spend their time writing about others whose security wasn’t quite good enough, and then they find out theirs isn’t either.

Fortunately for TechCrunch, founder Michael Arrington has a sense of humour about it. At first he decided it was China who hacked them – “China totally hacked us. Maybe”. Then he decided it was the Canadians. He re-tweeted people claiming it was an inside job, mentioning writer Paul Carr. Getting hacked may not be fun, but joking about it is. Reports are circulating though that it’s happened a second time – it remains to be seen whether he’ll cope so well this time.
