Google’s investments in driverless cars could be a waste of money as dogs show their potential in the space.
Dogs in New Zealand have been trained to drive cars. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Auckland decided to teach the dogs to drive to demonstrate the intelligence of rescued dogs.
So if Google’s plan does ever take off it will only be a matter of time that the software becomes expensive compared to hiring a dog on low wages. The odd bone and a tin of leftovers will do the trick.
One thing scares me. Every dog has a relative that has been flattened in the past and revenge could be on the cards.
It is also great security knowing that car thieves will find it hard to nick a car with a Pit Bull in the driving seat.
Downtime is actually unimpressed about this story. When you consider dogkind was in space before mankind it puts into perspective.
