An Australian woman Olive Riley, who is believed to have been the world’s oldest blogger, has died at the age of 108.

Oliver Riley was born in Broken Hill in New South Wales in 1899 and died just days ago in a nursing home in Woy Woy in NSW. Her last post on her blog was on the 26 June and was full of praise for the nursing home she had just moved into and described her singing a happy song with carers and a visitor.

Olive Riley’s popularity as a blogger, in which she recounted her lifelong memories in over 70 entries, proves the medium isn’t just for the young.

Her great grandson said that Olive found blogging a stimulating past time that helped keep her mind fresh and she developed a new community of thousands of online friends through her blog.

See this tribute to her on YouTube after the jump.
