So Obama’s inauguration was more popular than Google

Just seen this very interesting post on Silicon Alley Insider that tells an internet story about yesterday.

The graph in the post clearly shows how much Google searches fell during the inauguration.

I’m not surprised as I think the world was only interested in Obama’s inauguration yesterday (we noticed a slowing of traffic during the inauguration and I have spoken to other website editor’s who noticed the same).

Another interesting fact is that this event was the 5th most watched net event ever and CNN served 21.3 million live feeds. And Twitter was 500% busier than its ever been. Incredible.
