What’s the best option for load balancing in production?

I know there are a ton of different systems for load balancing and achieving redundancy in production servers including:
  • Round-robin DNS
  • Linux Virtual Server
  • Cisco Local Director
  • F5 BigIP
  • Windows NLB
Out of these (or others)...which is the best option is the best for production? How well does it work for you?
