I am fed up of Outlook crashing and losing my emails on Mac. I have used outlook windows in past and never experienced any kind of issues. So, would like to move from Mac to Windows but I have a lot of emails stored in Mac and would require those when moving onto windows. Is there any specific method to move stored emails to Outlook.

As mac and windows outlook does not support same email databases, there is no direct method for moving emails from outlook mac to outlook windows. As a workaround you may create a new IMAP account and configure it in outlook for mac. Then create a new IMAP folder in the newly configured IMAP account and move the desired emails into the new IMAP folder just created. It might take a while for uploading your emails onto the server. Once done, you may configure the same IMAP account on outlook windows and download the copied emails onto outlook.

Thanks garry, I have tried the IMAP transfer method but I guess its not working in my case as the database size is around 15 gigs. I started the transfer but outlook got stuck and I had to force quit as it completely stopped responding. The next start outlook asked for database rebuild so I am afraid of trying this method anymore.

Have you considered forwarding the emails to an alternate email address configured on email client you wish the emails are on?

Yes, I thought of it as well but the email database is huge with a size of 13-14 GB and thousands of emails. Forwarding this much amount of emails is not going to be feasible for me.

Ohh!! In this scenario you are left with two options, one is to compose a new emails and select the emails you wish to move and then drag all selected mails into this new email. The outlook might stop responding if the database size is quite big and depending upon your system hardware it might take time. Once the emails are moved into the compose new email, select the email attachments and drag drop onto the desktop or into a separate folder on desktop. This folder will store your emails in eml format and you can easily move these emails first into Windows Live Mail followed by outlook finally.
Second method involves a third party application that will gather your emails automatically from outlook identity and convert emails into windows recognizable pst format. Most of the utilities available online are meant for converting olm files into pst files. However, these might not yield accurate results. My suggestion would be to go for outlook mac database recovery which is capable of gathering emails directly from source or outlook identity.

The first method explained by you is almost as good as forwarding those emails to another email address and synchronizing it with outlook windows. So, I went with second method and contacted support of Outlook Mac Database Recovery. They analyzed my system and suggested me to go with OLM Converter Ultimate as my outlook mac was capable of exporting emails in olm format. OLM Converter Ultimate converted my emails in olm format to outlook windows recognizable pst format, which I was able to import in windows later.
However, I am not happy with Microsoft for making windows to mac one way path. I had to pay for something which should come standard with outlook windows.

I know as I have also been the victim of Microsoft in this matter. However, I was not as lucky as you in getting the correct converter the very first time. I had to try 2-3 converters before zeroing on OLM Converter Pro and the worst part the other converter didn't even refund my money even though their didn't work.
