    Per personal experience, it helps if done in right manner and with purpose. Doing it for sake of it and to say "we are SCRUM" does not really make sense. From project teams to other ones, it might also very if you really need it daily, weekly or bi-weekly. Context is the king afterall!

    To bring awareness, hold folks accountable, gain buy in, and solicit input and ownwership are all reasons to hold this meeting. Successful organizations, who practice lean manufacturing and problem solve use this practice.

    The standup is a quick and effective tool for communicating as long as the team avoids the “yesterday I worked on that, today I’ll work on this, no obstacles” mantra that I’ve seen many teams develop. At that point, it becomes an unproductive waste of time that needs to be dealt with quickly.

    I personally don't believe in luck. Our Colleagues in Nutanix must work twice as much if they will attempt to get the remarkable technical work of our Colleagues in Microsoft. I really wish the best to Nutanix for its software driven solutions for any hardware (physical) technology vendor.
