Writing for business — all right or alright?

Posted by: Ivy Wigmore
all right or alright, Business writing, CIO, grammar, Quiz
Which is correct?
The office manager said it would be _________ if I signed for the delivery.
a. alright
b. all right

Answer: b
Although it’s frequently seen, especially online, alright is not an accepted spelling variation in standard English. This distinction is sometimes confusing because already and altogether are correct in some contexts.
