Which is correct?
Cloud computing can help small businesses launch ________ because they don’t have to purchase and set up hardware.
a. quicker
b. more quickly

Answer: b

Explanation:
Quicker is an adjective. You could say, for example, that cloud computing enables a quicker launch, because quicker modifies the noun launch. The adverb form is more quickly. In our original sentence, launch is a verb.

Ivy, I appreciate your brevity, but I suspect that you are assuming too much of your readers if you think (a) they recognize the difference between an adjective and an adverb and (b) they remember the rule that an adjective modifies a noun and an adverb modifies a verb, another adverb, or an adjective. I view this as a teaching moment lost, not an editorial error.
