Business writing, CIO, grammar, possessives, Quiz, six month's worth or six month's worth, time periods
Which is correct?
The CFO suggested that the most practical solution might be to outsource the outstanding ____________ worth of backlog.
a. six month’s
b. six months’
c. six months
This is the plural possessive form — it’s a backlog of six months’ worth — so we use the apostrophe after the s to indicate that.
