Which is correct?

They not only offer clients accurate data insights, they allow them to _________ if the campaign isn’t working.
a. change tack
b. change tact

Answer: a

If you picked Choice b as the correct answer, it might be because you thought “tact” was short for “tactics.” It’s not. Tact is being considerate of others in order to avoid offending them.

The correct answer is Choice a, tack. Tack, a word that’s used in sailing, means to change direction.
