Continuously ping a host until it’s back up.

I find myself doing server installs and remote reboots a hundred times a day. How do you tell when your remote hosts are back up? I run a Ping command with a -a switch to continuously ping the host. When the host is back up you will start to see replies from the host.

This is a huge time saver than randomly pingging the host. The full command is:

ping <IP ADDRESS> -a
