Comparing the ipad to the pro? Really? Comparing the toaster to a fridge? To borrow Tim Cook's comments. People, are we smart here? Are we being objective? Are we just letting our feelings rule our comments? The ipad is primarily an entertainment device. I own one, and don't tell me otherwise. The pro is primarily an enterprise tool, and well, a little entertainment. Can we honestly say, we can bring the ipad to our office and let it replace our office pc/laptop/desktop/ultrabook/notebook? How about the pro? Can we use it in the office? Do I have to answer this? Or are we all smart enough to honestly answer this? Pricewise, the ipad is not a little overpriced? At its' $500 starting price, all it can do is a little movie here, facebook, facetime, email, internet, etc. That's all? The nexus 7 and kindle could do the same things for a far less price. We are paying apple for its name, and build quality for personal entertainment. That's it. The pro, yes, its expensive, but it offers you a little more. Maybe not more than an ultrabook, but more convenient than an ultrabook - maybe in terms of size - depending on how one prefers it. And if you don't want the meager battery power, you could always opt for an atom dual core z2760, which gives you about 8-10 hours of battery life, ex - the Samsung ativ smart pc 500t, or the asus vivo tab tf810, etc. I know, coz I have the Samsung version. It runs the full windows 8 version. Retina display? Can this feature really affect what we do in the enterprise world? Personal preferences, yes - it is nice to have. But going back to the ipad/pro comparison. Really? Smart!

In hope MS gets it right. The more companies innovating and competing for our business the better products and services we will get for our money. MS might be able to capture market share with a business tablet integrated with Office apps in the cloud. Business users don't want a tablet for work and one for home. If MS can improve the business features and roll into personal use they will pry customers away from Android or Apple out of convenience if nothing else. From my Surface RT
