		<description>I totally agree with you Ed but like to preach that ESX should be treated as an appliance and most well known engineers all have a rock solid automated build process.  I believe that is is key and what can really seperate the good engineers from the great ones.  

I do not make any changes in production without adding the change to the build process.  One thing to add on the build process.  When you build an ESX server it is worth running the vm-support script after first boot so you have a baseline to refer back to.
