Yes, to achieve the VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification, you must take the $5000 VMware class then pass the test. This video does not substitute for the official VMware class if you are going for the VCP certification.

However, for about $199, this video is an excellent 15 hour training course on VMware ESX Server and the VMware Infrastructure in the real-world!

Not everyone is going for the VCP cert nor can all of us afford the high price tag. 

I hope you will check out the free 7 minute video demo and consider purchasing the course.

		<description>I believe you are correct, the VMware course is still required.  I think this training course is geared towards getting you basic VMware training, not to prepare you to pass the VCP exam.</description>
