VMware ESX Server training video released

David Davis David Davis Profile: David Davis

Besides being an IT Knowledge Exchange Blogger and SearchVMware.com author with VCP and CCIE certifications, I also create video training courses. Recently, I created a video training course covering VMware ESX Server, VirtualCenter and the VMware Infrastructure Suite. This is a 15-hour video training course covering every aspect of VMware ESX Server – from design, to installation, to virtual center configuration, SAN configuration, P2V conversions, backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

With VMware training being very costly and there being so much to know about virtualization and VMware ESX Server, I believe that this video training course is an excellent method anyone wanting to learn about ESX Server. Really, you don’t have to learn ESX Server “the hard way” — by reading the documentation & trial and error — this video training course makes learning ESX Server easy.

Please check out the seven-minute demo of the course at my website:

Hi David, I thought it was still required to take the VMware course before one could get certified. Please expand upon this.

I believe you are correct, the VMware course is still required. I think this training course is geared towards getting you basic VMware training, not to prepare you to pass the VCP exam.

Hi Ddelaney & FridgeGuy for your comments! Yes, to achieve the VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification, you must take the $5000 VMware class then pass the test. This video does not substitute for the official VMware class if you are going for the VCP certification. However, for about $199, this video is an excellent 15 hour training course on VMware ESX Server and the VMware Infrastructure in the real-world! Not everyone is going for the VCP cert nor can all of us afford the high price tag. I hope you will check out the free 7 minute video demo and consider purchasing the course. Thanks again! David Davis, VCP, CCIE
