Sharing a couple of news items for general awareness:

When one thinks of all the software, technology and information systems that interconnect with economics it is rather amazing. Would there be a huge savings in time, money and so on, and a major reduction in associated complexities, and a major decrease in risks and errors, if the world operated with a single currency, and if products and services had the same value, price and cost throughout the world? Will a day come when unification, equality and prosperity are higher global realities from many perspectives?

A new Internet record

Did Oprah’s first webcast class of “A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose”, set a new World Wide Web record? 1,860,000 streamed or downloaded it within 1 week. Have you listened to the Flavor of Life? Many likely have not; however click the link and look at the numbers reported by Wikipedia about the Flavor of Life, and then imagine the potential of the Internet and the new records and improvements to quality of life that could be related before, by and beyond 2020. For example, imagine how the United Way is and can be increasingly enabled by software, technology, information, the Internet, and pros and public coming together increasingly as one to be of help to others. This way, this unified hand, could potentially increasingly enable harmonization around initiatives of high purpose. In general a united way is a good way. It can increasingly enable a helping unified hand with far positive reach. In any event, some good news reported today by Tony Bradley (see: Microsoft and Nortel Strengthen UC Partnership; IBM Pledges $1 Billion Investment in Unified Communications). A positive open unified interoperability of people and machines is on the rise and may even lead to unimagined goodness from various perspectives.

Budget 2008 and the road ahead for more true global fellowship

Posted by: viip
Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Government, Fun, Internet Evolution, Fellowship, Unification, CATA

March is a month whose name implies action, so this post is a trek into Canada’s Budget 2008 and thoughts of the road ahead for more true global fellowship.

This post is perhaps part of a start of a progressive march into uncertainty with increasingly smarter government, global cooperation and balance. As an initial step, think of what it means, or should mean, to be human. Next think of the term fellowship; for example as analogous to funding, however also as analogous to effectively working together, such as people effectively working together, and such as machines and people working effectively together, and such as the intrinsic and pervasive aspects of software and technology architectures doing the same. In our interconnected universe, what you do can make a difference; so too can increased unity, especially when increasingly combined with diversity. Fortunately there is growing support and evidence for collaboration, convergence, unification and simplification from various perspectives. Fortunately this is beginning to show more so within thoughts (i.e., within the individual and shared thinking of people, organizations, communities and governments). However, imagine the pure potentiality of the same throughout the world relative to increasingly working well together. Imagine how this may improve the budget of any country, and when the planet operates more as one, how this may improve the world.

Below are a few words from the Budget 2008 speech by Canada’s Minister of Finance delivered to the House of Commons on Feb 26, 2008 (full version here). A related article on the web (National Post) is, “Budget 2008 an uninspiring cure for insomnia”. Imagine how growing a fellowship of public and pros (IT and other) could enable unprecedented positive results. Imagine the collective energy, the collective imagination, the collective innovation, the collective benefits, the collective wisdom. Imagine the new dimensions of peace (value) and joy (quality) that inherently would materialize for the benefit of all in this generation and those of the future. March is a time for all to begin again, fresh, new, springing forward. A time to really start a forward thinking march for greater awakening. If more put their heads together, as well as their hearts together, it just may be possible for people to enable what seems impossible and truly wonderful. Imagine all having their hard earned money back while having tax free savings without limits. Imagine global economic prosperity, better services, and greater peace and joy. Of course the type of mindset change required, for such wonderful things to be reality, will not occur overnight. With enough collective positive energy wonderful possibilities may however come true, and sooner rather than later. Now is the time to really start a march towards something unprecedented and truly worthwhile… something life evolving, something that elevates life. Every country has challenges (including for Canada such things as the Minister of Finance noted: the economy slow down of our biggest trading partner, the U.S.; volatility in global financial markets; struggling economy sectors; slow economic growth projections for coming years), so the world must think differently as the only way the world is really going to make tremendous forward leaps is through radical paradigms shifts from the edge of rational collective imagination and innovation. Among other it is nice to see that Budget 2008 aims to further address matters pertaining to infrastructure, health, education and so on, including the need for increased research and innovation, and including the need to further tackle high purposes (e.g., environmental stewardship, and homelessness). Still more must be done, or one day everyone could be homeless. An evolution of global proportion is needed. Ideally the Internet will be an on-going tremendous help. Ideally more will awaken to their life’s purpose. Ideally a 2020 global vision will result in tremendous gains before, by and beyond the leap year of 2020.

There is evidence of a continually emerging change of mindset, and of a new worldview. And there is an essential critical need for all to be —increasingly— advocates, catalysts, enablers and solution architects for it, from a worldwide perspective, not simply organization or country perspectives. Thank you for all you do.

It may be interesting to think about the value inherent to all that may relate to the concept of unification. At minimum you may like to do some thinking about the value of unification as it specifically relates to unified communications.  To do so you may like to visit this new site, SearchUnifiedCommunications.com. You may also like to read an 01.21.08 article by Gary Audin (he has more than 40 years of computer, communications and security experience; he has planned, designed, specified, implemented and operated data, LAN and telephone networks… this has included local area, national and international networks, as well as VoIP and IP convergent networks, in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia).

Virtual world will be part of making the real world better

Posted by: viip
Security, Google, Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Internet Evolution, Unification

The prior post stated what could be part of the answer to easily finding and helping to mature innate quality, value, excellence and simplicity. It is up to each of us however to inquire into and contribute to the emerging evolution of software quality and the internet (perhaps both currently in part 3, and associated to increased degrees of unification and having positive energies become more one). Will the future of algorithms and protocols better determine content quality and be more developer-friendly with correspondingly higher degrees of performance? Will website design templates be used increasingly in part due to sharing a blog post comment apparently from an Amsterdam-Netherlands organization? Will a pedestal be reserved for companies who help achieve high purposes or offer free web services? Will the value inherent to the concepts of sharing and polling be part of increasingly making the world better? Will a thinking net of micro and macro perspectives draw IT Pros and the general public increasingly together? Is it possible the virtual world will be part of making the real world better? Will the increasing dimensions of positive collective imagination and wisdom continually help intrinsically and pervasively evolve the concept of perfect vision, and of what a ’leap year’ should mean to all? In the end, part of the answer is free web services, and doing whatever you can to help advance matters of high purpose.

“pedestal is now reserved for companies like Google, which offer them free Web services”— Nicole Ferraro, Site Editor of Internet Evolution (relates to this poll)

Ideally the virtual world will be part of making the real world better, so that tremendous gains result for current and future generations. Ideally this new website, SearchFinancialSecurity.Com, will be of some valuable assistance.

Rally around many thought provoking issues and events

Posted by: viip
Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Unification

This coming November should be interesting, as it will be followed by the next US Inauguration Day (20 January 2009), and as it will likely be proceeded by more related internet content and social interaction than ever before. Ron Paul and all candidates will likely be linked to a large amount of internet traffic that ranges from YouTube members commenting on Zeitgeist, to many sites providing coverage on numerous hot topics (e.g., economy, education, environment, globalization, health, rights, and peace). Ideally during the same period, and increasingly to 2020 and beyond, the traffic will also link the United States, and all countries around the world, to various peaceful efforts to increasingly enable brighter futures for all of humanity. Ideally 2008 and the centuries of the future will include exploring unification from all dimensions, including relative to many individuals and organizations that ideally increasingly rally around many thought provoking issues and events. To read about one such event being held on 26 January 2008, click here (this post takes no credit, simply shares awareness).

Unification can be good; however ensuring inherent quality is the ultimate key.

Live within the mystery, unification

Posted by: viip
Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Fun, Unification

Look closely within the web, with an open mind. You should begin to be able to see and dig the reality… in many ways, unification is taking place. This will more so be the case as progressively unity and diversity are continually combined to new dimensions. This will enable increasing blends (e.g., of rigor, agility, effectiveness, efficiency, and stakeholders interests). During this part (3) of the evolution, worlds will and must transform towards wider, higher, deeper, and more excellent and simpler levels. Doing so will enable greater joy [quality] and peace [value] in many ways along the journey to continually and creatively mature, and innovatively embed, a new more fun state of (or spirit for) software, technology and information quality.

Good

Posted by: viip
Security, IBM, Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Agile, Microsoft, Fun, Unification

Within all there is energy for good and a creative genius that can contribute to generating greater viip for self and others. Changing our thinking will enable us to see this and to generate greater joy throughout the world. Connect with the source. Work the inner nature. Apply the creative genius within to produce greater good. Grasp the essence and find your purpose. Through discovery, sharing and maturing all shall gain.

As upstarts and giants of all types more so come together, and as they are joined by the general pubic to pursue with earnest matters of high purpose (and urgency and importance to the world at large), quality will achieve unimagined levels well beyond what is being achieved in the first part of the 21st Century. Perfect vision leap year 2020 and beyond is poised for serious goodness if all help bring IT together to make things progressively better such as per words within this article (look for these words… evolution; centers on the evolving nature of computing; need to work with both partners and competitors in order to bring this all together; users are largely telling us what they want and it’s changing how we do business; need to evolve to keep pace; it’s important for the industry as a whole to invest in this; it’s not important that Microsoft build an identity system and get everyone to use it; and it’s not important that anyone else do that either; what is important is that they all work together; maybe that’s something that you haven’t heard from us in the past, but you’ll hear more of it in the future).

Live the wisdom of God, TAO or what you consider to be your divine source. Find the common ground, the goodness that helps ensure a common foundation and connects us all. Within each of us there is an anchor to the universe. Look for, find and make small getting started changes. As we each do this we build towards accomplishing great things. A journey of 1000 miles does begin with one step. Return to your source and connect with well-being a moment at a time. Transform.

As we let go of our ego (what we have, what we do, what others think of us) we learn to shift from fear to being curious of what we are afraid of. Shift from control to trust. Shift from a sense of entitlement to radical humility. Be wise, help all impartially, and abandon none. Live with flexibility. Transfer rigid to agile. We are water and can enter anywhere or in anyone. Water is the supreme good. Be less rigid and accomplish more. We must be flexible. Like yoga which means union we must be one with our source and flexible including in our thinking as the latter is a compass in life and heavens way to conquer is being done. Change from seeing yourself as separate to being connected to everyone in the universe. We are all one. We come from the same source known by different names. We are a tree (a family, humanity); no tree has or should have branches as foolish as to fight themselves.

The path to achieving and increasing goodness is not what is most important however. There really is no path as it is ever changing and with each change goodness is enabled to higher levels. What is important is to bring goodness to the path. Ensure goodness is inherent and bring it to the journey. Elevate quality, value, excellence and simplicity from the inside out and outside in. Goodness within leads to intrinsic and pervasive greatness from a journey that begins with a single step. Thank you for each step, for your perseverance, for motivating others, and for instilling fun, love and value. Help ensure a continually better world by 2020 and beyond thanks to the innate characteristics associated with software, technology, information and all peoples. Discover and mature inherent qualities. From any and all perspectives (and to ensure ever increasing value and joy for self and all), share, creatively mature and innovatively embed a mindset to progressively and continually have real quality occur more inherently or be more inherent.

Simply stated, quality assurance equates to prevention, quality control to detection, quality improvement to enhancement, quality management to governance, quality inherent to viip. Value based information is facilitating paradigm shifts that will enable collective wisdom to generate a simple common set of elements that truly define Qual IT. Give and build positive energy and ensure compliance inherently. It is time for more unification to improve software, technology and information. Merge associations, frameworks, products and methods to increase simplicity and elevate the aims of each. As more awaken to the power of unification the world will innately grow better and stronger as increased unification is essential as the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Quality must be built within the individuals involved. It must be inherent in their DNA and within the DNA of that which they use, interface with and produce. The world will continually be changed for the better as a result of individuals and teams embedding quality and making quality decisions that increasingly enable this.  Progressively teams will include intelligence embedded within the technology both produced from quality decisions and used to make quality decisions. As you make quality decisions they will change you. Not just you and the job but others too as quality fans out like waves. Pirsig of course said this many years ago. The notion of inherent quality has of course existed for centuries (e.g.) and fun is of course becoming a better understood characteristic (e.g.). As more awaken to the inherent notion it will be further matured and produce unimagined good. We may even start to more so inherently ensure quality and value the first time. Part of the essence of the notion is a progressive change of culture and mindset that beings first within oneself.

Do the inherent characteristics of standards fulfill the requirement to ensure quality? Will they more so in the future? Will more unification and harmonization help? As more blog about examples of things which make quality innate or occur innately (and about what in the future will more so do this), standards and tools will continue to evolve and ensure greater levels of value. The results will be far reaching; particularly as IT progressively becomes more so a global community of practice and sharing.

A fun link to go along with this post is Answers.com. Among other within you will note quality defined in 1.a. as an “inherent or distinguishing characteristic”. As you continue scrolling along you will also note that the meaning for the term quality has developed over time and that now various interpretations exists. The first then listed is ISO 9000 - “Degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fulfills requirements”.

A few words of wisdom that are perhaps suitable at this juncture are provided below.

Improvements in quality always and automatically result in reductions in schedules and costs, increases in productivity, increases in market share, and consequently increases in profits. — Dr. W. Edwards Deming

If you want a high quality software system, you must ensure each of its parts is of high quality. —
Watts S. Humphrey

Accountability breeds response-ability — Stephen R. Covey

The one thing that changes everything is trust — Stephen M. R. Covey

The time is always right to do what is right. — Martin Luther King, Jr.

Every journey begins with a single step… do the best you can and then keep the pressure on for a better system… we could have as little as 10 years in which to make significant changes… there is an old African proverb that says if you want to go quickly go alone, but if you want to go far go together, we need to go far quickly, which means we need to get a common base of agreement on the basic facts about this crisis as quickly as we can and then move forward together — Al Gore (Global Warming)

We must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. Try to be at peace with yourself and help others to share that peace. If you contribute to others’ happiness, you will find the true goal, the meaning of life — Dali Lama

The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them. We have to do the best we can. This is our sacred human responsibility. — Albert Einstein

Hello world! Greetings universe!

Posted by: viip
Software Quality, Inherent Quality, Fun, Unification

Welcome to the IT Knowledge Exchange. This is my first post within VIIP. Ideally it helps you understand the nature of upcoming posts. Ideally you will purchase and share positive awareness of Inherent Quality Simplicity as well as visit the weblog and other pages of InherentQuality.Com (currently hosted on Register.Com servers). Ideally you will also visit and contribute to TechTarget’s IT Knowledge Exchange where progressively on VIIP a blog roll will develop and posts will aim to showcase the efforts and talents of others who are truly helping from various perspectives to continually make quality occur more inherently or be more so inherent. It is an honor and humbling to be part of the viip of the IT Knowledge Exchange where bloggers have a mutual desire to share news and information as part of something that will help further develop IT as a global community of practice and sharing. Ideally this community will continually help to elevate and embed quality while also helping worlds become more so one. You are therefore encouraged to read and participate in the IT Knowledge Exchange which thanks to TechTarget and a global community can help to build upon notions for ensuring inherent quality that are related to advancement and pursuing high purposes and that are or will be part of evolutions, revolutions and revelations.

With this opening VIIP post all at TechTarget are asking all (pros and the general public) to start thinking now about perfect vision leap year 2020. In particular we would like to see executives, IT pros and all consumers (who realize that their quality of life is improved or impacted by software, technology and information) blog regularly about what they feel are examples today that make quality innate or occur inherently; and what they feel will more so do this by the year 2020 and beyond. Will there be greater sharing and collaboration? Will global summits more so build upon the concept of unification? Will frameworks and standards more so harmonize and be even more so embedded within tools and automation? Will there be greater unification and will values more so drive value? Will there be greater peace, economic equity and other forms of fairness? Will there be a healthier planet and will all inhabitants become healthier, happier and more intelligent? Will more begin to think of ways they can contribute positively beyond their own lifetime? Will corruption be reduced significantly? Will there be greater levels of safety, fun, love and joy? Will the cost of software errors be significantly reduced? Will there be less loss to society? Will the community of practice and sharing grow and draw significant participation from all levels of pros and the general public? Will IT resources know more about the business, and will the business know more about IT? Will enhanced software, technology and information help to make it easier for all to work with or within the IT domain? Will IT and the business more so become one and therefore more than simply align? Will forms of wireless, satellite and laser technology become highly advanced and used in many more situations? Will today’s technology be likened to the star trek of old (e.g.) and what will be the case by leap year 2020 and beyond? Will IT help to reduce threats from many perspectives including relative to global warming or near earth objects? Will IT significantly improve outcomes for business and help drive socially responsible initiatives such as would reduce or eliminate war or poverty? From various perspectives, what will ensure greater viip (value-inherent, intrinsic and pervasive)? In and beyond leap year 2020 what will beam greater and greater levels of inherent quality and viip in your step?

VIIP (this blog) is intended to share awareness of progress and to showcase positive contributions of others. Its intentions also include encouraging fun, creativity and the merging of disciplines and the combing of heart, mind, soul and positive spirit as part of inspiring optimism and perseverance. On VIIP writings will be about software, technology and information. On VIIP and throughout the IT Knowledge Exchange ideally all will read about contributions and ideas for helping to make things progressively and continually better for all, for every. Thank you for reading and for all you do to:

  • help motivate and give positive energy to others
  • help drive and evolve quality, value, excellence and simplicity continually upwards and inwards for all, for every
  • help ensure greater levels of value-inherent, intrinsic and pervasive for self and others.

Ideally progressively unions of pros and the general public will increasingly beam viip into your step. Thank you for your continued contributions to progressively help make things inherently better from various quality perspectives.
