Be part of making forward progress and history that is good

Inherent Quality, IFIP, Global IT Profession

Want to make a difference?

Perhaps consider how as an inherent quality of an emerging global IT profession, and related green and other socially responsible initiatives, you can help evolve associated quality and value to increasingly become intrinsic and pervasive and for the benefit and betterment of all.

Perhaps look within IFIP (e.g., this page) for some interesting reading (e.g., the aims and scope statements associated with WG 9.2 – Social Accountability (est. 1977)). Perhaps suggest updates to IFIP plans or content, or ask a question using this contact page. Perhaps ask what you can do to help IFIP before 2009, and then perhaps in relation to the IFIP 50th Anniversary in 2010.

This post takes no credit for the progress being made by IFIP, CIPS and others including anything that you may do or being doing to help with related continued forward progress. It does however applaud all efforts towards a global challenge of achieving greatness relative to the goodness innately associated with what social responsibility and accountability means or can mean.

Consider looking within your schedule and perhaps see if you can spare additional cycles now and then to increasingly be part of making forward progress and history that is good. Thank you for doing so.

“No matter how much you have achieved, you will always be merely good relative to what you can become.” — Jim Collins, Good To Great and The Social Sectors

Progressively moving towards improved quality of life for all within the global community

Can the Internet help to enable a better world? Can it help to improve collective consciousness, positively alter egos and awaken souls to increasingly help towards achieving higher purposes? Can continued study of the essential complexity of simple systems extend the enlightenment capability of any object? Can exploring more closely to the edge increase the number of everyday heroes who share positive ideas? The questions you’ve just read were derived from a few quotes from the edge that were noted in VIIP near the start of 2008. Counting the current month, there are only four months remaining in the year and then it will be time for the official launch of a major milestone for the global IT profession. You can read more on this on various web pages, including this July 2, 2008 Exchange Morning Post. There is also mention August 2008 within ITACOnline. A quote from the latter that you may also find interesting is indented in italics.

The ITAC IT Heroes Program was created to give recognition to men, women and organizations that have employed technology to improve the quality of life of their communities.

As more increasingly explore within and pervasively, perhaps more will discover their higher purpose. Perhaps as more do this it will increasingly become easier to identify and share what may want one to increasingly want to be good. Perhaps understanding the latter will enable greater collective compassion.

From compassion can come passion… do what only you can to help find, share and elevate opportunities towards improving the quality of life for all within the global community. Thank you for doing so.

Interconnected, we become one collective intrinsic and pervasive kindred spirit

Posted by: viip
Software Quality, Inherent Quality, IFIP, Government

All people which together form the universal software, technology and information community and profession, should intrinsically (and increasingly) be a kindred spirit. Particularly given that the same may eventually (moving upwards and inwards in an open-minded forward thinking direction) more so become part of a pervasive kindred spirit. Working increasingly as one, benefits to overall society will increasingly become greater as the viip of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Taking no credit, and provided as general awareness only, principal element 3 associated with IFIP’s mission statement is shown below. Words within the mission statement that particularly are worth sharing are, “for the benefit of all people”.

To promote international co-operation directly and through national IT Societies in a free environment between individuals, national and international governmental bodies and kindred scientific and professional organizations.

A universal community and profession

Posted by: viip
IBM, Software Quality, Inherent Quality, IFIP, ITKE, Microsoft, Culminis, CIPS

Will news within 2008 bulletins elevate a knowledge sharing culture? A cohesive global community and profession can achieve great things by 2020. IBM (e.g., Rudin, Spainhower, Camenisch, etc.), Microsoft, and other major organizations, individuals and forces (e.g., Culminis, ITKE, CIPS, and so on) make what is now a large universe of software, technology and information professionals. Ideally competitors increasingly interconnect and work together to make significant advances into matters of high purpose. Thanks to all that eventually do or will work in this positive direction.
