You actually have to understand the business, or using the terms is likely to backfire by revealing you&#039;re faking it and don&#039;t know what you&#039;re talking about.  Too many IT people, from CIO on down, can&#039;t tell the difference between using the terms and genuinely understanding; but it&#039;s evident to others, who continue to discount us for &quot;not speaking the language of business.&quot;]]></description>
