It’s easy to feel a little jaded about the prevalence of technology these days. The capacity for constant connection means we’re never really alone. Sometimes it’s too much, but then something like Hurricane Sandy happens and it seems just right. Technology in general and social media specifically have changed everything including, we now see, how people are informed about and deal with disasters.
