About
Hello and welcome to Views from the P.I.T.
I’m Suzanne, a Generation-X white female living and working in rural America. Of course, there’s a lot more to me than my demographics. I have been working in IT for over a decade for non-profit, software, a law firm, manufacturing, and small business. From crawling under dirty desks to telephone support to chained-to-my-desk coding, I’ve been there. My experience is based and supplemented with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and current work on an MBA in IT Management.
Views from the P.I.T. is my outlet to talk about the human side of IT work. I have a vested interest in topics concerning health & safety, mental illness, self assessment, and career development. I also enjoy poking fun at the geeky side of IT folks, including myself, and reminiscing about my first computer experiences. Feel free to join in by leaving comments on this blog. I find succinct value in the ideas and opinions of others.
