Quote: It’s IBM i (”for Business”)....

Question:
How does "i" have anything to do with the word, "business"?????

This says it all: http://www.cafepress.com/buy/as+400/-/pv_design_details/pg_1/id_27142849/opt_/fpt_/c_666/

We call it AS/400, always have, always will. While it is in IBM's interest to JUST sell ANY box, we need for the AS/400 to sell. Their product non-differentiation is maddening, as well as their intentional obfuscation of the AS/400. Remember, AS stands for APPLICATION SYSTEM? No for "Cobbled-Together-Hack-Of-Bits-And-Pieces"...

Everyone I work with, both within IT and in the user community, still calls it the 'AS/400'. I tried forcing myself to use iSeries in documents but I gave up. I don't really care what IBM calls it anymore.
If you want to Google what do you look for? i, iSeries, AS/400, AS400. I can't put them [ULIST] all [/ULIST] in.

At COMMON we were told to google "ibm i" and you should find plenty of stuff on the "i". I think they worked out a deal or something with Google to make that work.

http://www.google.com/search?q=ibm+i&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Personalized Results 1 - 10 of about 11,100,000 for ibm i. ===> Not bad I guess. I would have expected more?
