Beth,
"The Storage Anarchist, who already broke the arrival of IBM’s XIV array, keeps pounding away at IBM. [The Storage Anarchist: How much does a free XIV array really cost?]"

The storage anarchist, like other anarchists is twisting the facts and distributing coarse FUD. Many of his "facts" on XIV are wrong and I am not sure if it is done deliberatively or just due to ignorance. The comparisons are wrong and his brute attacks on Moshe Yanay are tasteless and unfair. Without Moshe EMC could sell today office furnitures as they did in the past. Spitting in the well that you drink from many years is an indication to culture level.
I wrote on XIV for Wikibon and if you wish we can discuss the product.

Beth, I can assure you the farm animals are real, but as you say, they are pretty low tech. As far as I can tell they don't even know what a computer is!
