		<description>@Andrew Mapp,

First off, the name is Slootman...not Shootman. DDUP offers customers the most value in a product. NetApp and EMC can't offer the data duplication reduction rates like DDUP does and probably won't because they want to offer a plethora of lesser developed features rather than one stellar product.

I think Slootman is taking Google's advice of "Do one thing really, really well and all else will follow." They're offering the best DDUP products on the market and I think they'll be rewarded for it in the long run.

<description>Shootman, should read Shoot-foot. So let's reflect on another Valley start-up and some similiar words "encryption should be honored and not given away like Decru is doing" former CEO of Neoscale, the now, and may they rest in peace defunked encryption for disk and tape company.

What Neoscale learned, yes the hard way, and as Frankie will also so learn, and at the expense of his investors, is that dedeup is a feature of the product and not the product. I hope we can all agree NetApp and EMC have made few errors along the way in product judgement.

Frank your missing the big picture "customers don't care", they look for the most value in a product.
