Installed following hotfix – VMWare 2.0 installion worked afterwards.

However, installation of VMware Server 2.0 beta 2 on the same box fails with error 1008:

The installation of C:\WINDOWS\Installer\4191e87.msi is not permitted due to an error in software restriction policy processing. The object cannot be trusted.

What do I change to permit installation?
