		<description>In ESX3.5 index.html is located in /usr/lib/vmware/hostd/docroot.

They changed the format somewhat...there is now a javascript file that contains all of the messages to be displayed.  You can still comment out certain portions, though it's harder to tell which is which.</description>

Looks like it has, I just checked a 3.5 server and they have moved it to the /usr/lib/vmware/hostd/docroot directory. In 3.0.x it is located in the /var/lib/vmware/hostd/docroot directory. Thanks for pointing that out.

This information is exactly what I am looking for, except in ESX 3.5 the index.html (and docroot) for that matter is not in the /usr/lib/ folder in your article... and I can't find it...
