<description>Heise Security offer their Offline Update script which downloads critical security patches from Microsoft. The scripts can be modified to download other patches as well, but it is primarily intended to allow a consultant or system administrator to download the critical patches so that a machine can then be safely attached to the Internet to download any further patches needed.

The scripts download directly from Microsoft, thus avoiding any concerns about tampering of the patches. This is not as efficient as AutoPatcher, but it has the same result - a collection of patches on CD, DVD or USB stick that can be used offline.
