The Cloud

Roger Crawford Roger Crawford Profile: Roger Crawford

Do you see your customers doing this? I hear about this all the time on how everyone is going to the Cloud. I am sure this will have the ones it works great for and then ones that absolutely say WHAT? I know a lot of customers that like to walk by their server and go there is my data and can look at see it right there it is not somewhere out in the world that they have no control over. I also know there are companies that their connection out is up and down and not a stable connection so how does that work when you are in the middle of something and the Cloud becomes Cloudy or the Cloud itself has troubles.

But what the companies are also looking at is the cost of their hardware and what they can do in the cloud for limiting their costs. But there sure is a lot of talk about that anymore and more and more of the MS stuff coming out is headed that way. Look at the Forefront for Exchange you can have it running on your local Exchange Server or the Forefront for Exchange running in the Cloud protecting your local Exchange Server.

I never thought 12 years ago I would be doing this job I am now so anything is possible here.  Takes note to self to check into that Truck Driving training School. Where do you see your customers or clients going?

Til later just Roger
