This is why they are actively chasing a large number of the illegal sites at present. In our discussions with SAP it was agreed that we would not be using IDES. Thanks for the blog entry; I just wanted to make a point though. We are using individual legal SAP licenses to provide the service – as far as SAP are concerned we are the only people to do so. You mentioned the other online companies (yep we know they are there). These providers are using evaluation (or otherwise obtained) copies which are not licensed by SAP to provide this sort of service. This year SAP have started to move against illegal internet hosted software use and sale. We have implementation plans for US and DE localised versions in the next few months loaded with the appropriate local SAP Best Practice data and config. Keep an eye on the website for more news.
