Hi Erik,

SAP User License agreements are very specific about what you can and cannot do. This is why they are actively chasing a large number of the illegal sites at present. In our discussions with SAP it was agreed that we would not be using IDES. SAP do not allow IDES to be used within this type of service.

This tool is geared towards those SAP consultants who or want to be working within the BPX environment (Business Process Experts).

Check out our website for our trial offerings.

Kind regards
Graham Day

Hi Graham,

I am from Indonesia and my internet speed is around 384Kbps. Is that enough or too slow? Someone offer me this kind of SAP-IDES online access and they claim it's legal. Are you sure you are the only legal site? Thanks.

Regards,

Erick L.P.

Hi, I am Graham Day one of the founders of this service. Thanks for the blog entry; I just wanted to make a point though. We are using individual legal SAP licenses to provide the service – as far as SAP are concerned we are the only people to do so.
You mentioned the other online companies (yep we know they are there). These providers are using evaluation (or otherwise obtained) copies which are not licensed by SAP to provide this sort of service. This year SAP have started to move against illegal internet hosted software use and sale.
We have implementation plans for US and DE localised versions in the next few months loaded with the appropriate local SAP Best Practice data and config. Keep an eye on the website for more news.

Hi Gregg,

It is my understanding that users from any country can sign up for the SID service. The price is in pounds, so I am assuming that your credit card provider would automatically process the transaction in dollars.

Best,

It's a good idea. Is there a US equivalent of the sidportal.com site?
