I think even in MID market SAP will lead because of its brand value , it's like a person wants to buy a small car and there are three new cars in the market ,which one will he buy maybe a new small car from a relatively new company ...but he will always place his trust on a bigger company like FORD ,or TOYOTA ...also
a pride is also attached with getting associated with a bigger company.
The pride associated (with frustrations included ;-)) in being associated with a big company ..can be felt by all people who in any way are associated with it .Like Angelina Jolie working in a SIT COM it would be a instant hit,...or NASA making a new Bike ...else maybe SAP,just look at the face of people when they say that they have SAP in their company or they are SAP Consultants and it will tell everything, they have a look of confidence on their face.

SAP should use this soft power to gain leverage in this market .

SAP S1 is welcome as a healthy competitive software with enhanced features. It will be a big success on its launch as this encovers Suppliers, Customers.

However providing the chart of advantages in terms of time, effort and money will attract the market in comparison with competitive ORACLE, MiCROSOFT Dynamics .

I am a SAP FAN.

All the best.

SAP haas been scrambling to put a dent in Microsoft's market for sometime. Will this work?, who knows, time will tell but one thing for sure, if SAP is looking for the 50-500 user than they need to make their product more affordable.
