VMware turns down panel sessions for VMworld

Well, there seems to be a theme developing here – Scott Herold of vmguru.com had a panel session black-balled, so did Eric Sloof as well. I was part of a group that included such notables as EMC, NetApp and Lefthand Networks for a storage orientated discussion forcus on two my pet interests in SRM and VDM. Unfortunately, it didn’t get off the ground – looks like we will be running this session independentally from VMworld at a commerically sponsored event. The theme seems to be panel discussions don’t appear to be favoured, and there seems to be a number of people who year on year aren’t getting to the stage.

Personally, I’ve always been bit miffed at never been invited to the “Ask the Experts” sessions at VMworld. Heck, I guess someone is trying to give me  a message – “Mike, your not an expert”!!! :-D . I guess that’s true, I perfer to make-it-up as I go along and fly by the seat of my pants!
