VirtualCenter 1.3 Reports the Wrong Number of CPUs in Dual-Core Host

Bit of an obscure one this week, but “surprising results” occur if you try to connect a dual-core ESX host running ESX 2.5.2 to VirtualCenter 1.2, and then later upgrade to VirtualCenter 1.3. Basically, the problem centres around a change within ESX & Virtual Center – that the vmware-ccagent has been discontinued in “clean install” of ESX 2.5.2 and VirtualCenter 1.3
