Let us summarize some thought process involved in Release Management.

Release management is about managing your product release.

A checklist of the kind as below may help in a better management.

  • How do you identify between the older releases new releases?
How do you manage your library to control different versions of releases?
How do you associate the knowledge, communication, updates, upgrades, requirements along with a release?
How do you associate the team members involved in a particular release?
How do you take control of documentation related to a particular release?
How you associate actions in various releases?
How do you decide to upgrade now or later about a particular release at a particular customer place?
What differentiates one release from the other?
How do you differentiate between a global release and a local release?
Do you differentiate between a country specific release and a business specific release?
