By major commerical code, only an idiot buys it without service contracts - and you're still likely going to need some in-house expertise... it would be foolish to think you're going to eliminate technical  expertise by going to Open Source - or conversely going with Commercial - so I see this as likely a wash. The real question is which product provides the needs - Open Source package or the commercial package.</description>
