Good point. I should have clarified that part. Most of those EoS announcements for the 6500s date to 2005. I was just pointing them out as major pieces of hardware that are nearing EoL.

WRT the Catalyst 6500 chassis you mention, perhaps a little clarification is in order. Those particular versions of the chassis were marked for EoS as they were replaced by improved versions of the same chassis–for example, the Catalyst 6509 was replaced by the Catalyst 6509-E.
