Configuring Multiple SSIDs in Cisco 1250 Access Points Series 6

Yasir Irfan Yasir Irfan Profile: Yasir Irfan

In this post I will just post the snap shots for SSIDS ADMIN and GUEST, where you can see the SSIDS are connected, they got an IP address and they can ping the default gateway as well. It’s just to confirm  connectivity.

ADMIN SSID Connectivity

The PC is getting an IP from the DHCP Server for the SSID ADMIN  and VLAN 101

The PC can ping the default gateway

GUEST SSID Connectivity

The PC is getting an IP from the DHCP Server for the SSID GUEST and VLAN 102

The PC can ping the default gateway

So with this I will conclude this series. If any body have any comments please do comment.

Hi Yasir, I would much appreciate you help. I'm trying to connect the AP 1250 directly to a 6500 port, but it's not working. My scheme it's very simmilar to you's, with several SSID's and VLANS, but I can't get the 6500 port to work. Any ideas?

What about the configuration for the port to which an AP connected in your cisco 6500 switch, suppose the ip address assigned the management of AP and its in native VLAN2 and your SSID VLAN is 3 the configuration in your Cisco 6500 switch should be as follows config t interface giga 4/0/1 switchport trunk encapsualtion dot1q switchport mode trunk switchport native vlan 2 switchport allowed vlan 3 no shutdown

Hi Yasir, I have follow your tutorial step by step, and it's all work perfect without DHCP, So I have 2 question. 1) how to configure DHCP server & DHCP relay agent? 2) how to configure Cisco 1250 AP WAP?
