PalmI know a great many long-time Palm OS users felt abandoned when this once-popular operating system was replaced by the webOS. And there are still plenty of people holding on to their Palm TX because they haven't yet made the switch to another platform.

PalmAs of today, the once proud Palm is now a division of HP. If you're not shocked by this, it's probably because you haven't been following the mobile device industry for a decade or more. To me, the headline might as well be "Microsoft Buys Apple".
