As a previous owner of the HP Touchpad I can tell you it in no way matched my iPad, it was heavier, thicker, slower. About the best thing going for it was WebOS which was pretty neat. In the end I sold it on eBay for twice what I paid for it. My point is that Apple dominates the market (for now) because the product is superior, not necessarily in features but in build quality, OS integration and ease of use. Same as the iPod, and the iPhone when they were released. They may not have been the best products on the market but the worked the best. Until competitors can get beyond checking off features on a list and can actually build a product that works well with all of its features together Apple will continue to dominate.
