		<description>1. That will depend on the country that you are in, the country that he is in, and the domain registrar.  Typically getting a domain from someone else is hard.  The fact that he owned it for years and you didn't challange it isn't going to help you.

3. The fact that you are paying him doesn't mean anything.  If the domain is in his name the registrar won't do much.

4. Selling domain names if perfectly legal.  If the domain has been around for a few years then he's been paying the bill for the domain for those years.

Your best bet will be to contact a lawyer who has experience in these sorts of cases.  I would assume that the IT Consultant has done this before and he probably knows exactly what his and your rights are.</description>
