Jgunja,

Thanks for answering the call for Product Reviews. We appreciate that. Our intention is for members to post their review on the main site, instead of as a comment here. That's so we can properly tag the reviews and manipulate them later when we have more reviews submitted. I'll move your review for you - and thanks again!

C'mon, folks. Got a favorite tool or utility? Send us your Product Reviews. Thanks.

Product: Data Sync Manager
Platform: Windows, Linux, etc.
Manufacturer: EPI-USE
Website: http://www.epiuse.com.au/

Pros: This product enables transfer and integration of Human Resource, Accounting and Logistics data between R/3 systems within a SAP system landscape. The transfer can be through RFC or by creating/using a copy file.

It can be used to train users and employees in the use of SAP system.

Cons: Some tables used in SAP modules are found not covered in the tool. It is cumbersome to synchronise these tables in the target system. Some times we have found problems in record sequence numbers or duplicates, RFC connection, etc. You need to be aware that the target system may be cluttered with old copied data and needs to be cleaned up regularly.

Review: It helps a gret deal in testing or simulating production issues. It is often difficult to simulate or duplicate a problem scenario. (Any person in production support can easily vouch for this.) This tool helps to replicate scenarios in a target system/client from a source system/client.

For example, you find issues in an employee’s payroll for a pay period. Simply copy the employee’s PD (position, org unit etc) & PA (org assignment, basic pay, etc) data from the source to a target system. You can test in the target system to your heart’s content and fix the problem.

I am happy to interact with any one who has a need in this regard.
