Q:
Zebra 105SL printer
I am trying to use TL Ashford to print labels from my AS/400 to a Zebra 105SL printer using Ashfords version 2.6. The printer works in stand-alone mode attached to a PC processing UPS shipments. I have Zebra 105SE printers that work fine with TL Ashford & my AS/400, but not the 105SL. I've looked and I'm using the correct program name in the RPG program call (Z4XI1024 for 203 dpi per TL Ashford).

The AS/400 recognizes the printer is attached and autoconfigured a printer session for it; the session starts with no problem. When I submit labels they appear (as far as the AS/400 is concerned) to print, but nothing comes out of the printer even though I know it prints (as I said above).

I've got the 105SL defined on the AS/400 as a 5224 printer, just like the functioning 105SE's. Any ideas what I am missing?

How do you have the printer connected to the AS400? We have several 140s & 160s set up with jet direct cards. To get them to process the AS400 printouts properly, I had to set the remote printer queue to MPS_1b6653_TEXT and set the manufacture model = *LEX4227.

Hi

I have never used zebras with an as400 but if you are using direct thermal make sure your paper is direct thermal too other wise your printer will just print blank labels
