XP repair now downloaded updates cant install,
Windows XP, Windows Updates, Windows XP Troubleshooting
There was a fix on the MS site a few years ago , something to do with running the XP Repair from the cd that changes the install  Updates file back to the old version that isnt recognised and I had to delate the line and paste in a new line in the windows registry ?

What's the last thinkg you did? Start there. Otherwise i would try "sfc" in command prompt. You'll need an XP disc. Bing "sfc" for some help with that.
