.XLSM doc password protected?

We are all using office 2003, he tries to open an XLSM document it asks for a password, he presses enter, doc fails to open. He sends it to me, It goes through the conversion process just fine & opens as usual, Where do I look on his machine? -

HP desk tops

He does not have the Office 2007 compatibility pack installed on his machine. Talk to your IT department to get it installed.

    i installed the compatibility pack but stll no change this is frustrating aaarrrgggg

    .xlsm extension is an excel macro enabled workbook file. The person did not open due to of that he does not pass for the file while it asks for pass. But when u opened it opens smoothly. How did it possible...... Have u supplied right pass to open this file. If a file is pass protected, then it does not matter which file extension it has ! Then next matter comes if this pc has proper apps to open that kind of file. While u r using office 2003, so I think compatibility issue does not matter here. Have u installed compatibility pack for this kind of file in ur pc, while other person does not have. More details r required to understand ur probs.
