Hello, My company is currently assessing an upgrade from R/3 to mySAP ERP with Netweaver (potentially ECC 6.0). I understand this upgrade requires Enterprise Portals to be turned on, but not necessarily the Exchange Infrastructure. Is this true? Why? We do have interfaces with external systems including Business Connector, JCo and .Net Connector. Can these interfaces continue to use these connectors in ECC 6? What about workflow - does this require XI for internal messaging?

Hi,
The Business Connector is supported till WAS 6.40 version and hence you may have to use XI in place of BC henceforth, after upgrading to ECC 6.0.

Further the support for BC is till mid 2006 by SAP, so anyways you need to replace it by XI.
