I have noticed a problem on one of my downstream WSUS servers, Main Summary page says "Downloading 0.00 of 900mb" in status of downloads. I also get the following error on my event logs: Content file download failed. Reason: A connection with the server could not be established Source File: /Content/E9/07248C1FF7D0DED8444F29E05C4B99068D79C1E9.txt Destination File: d:WSUSWsusContentE97248C1FF7D0DED8444F29E05C4B99068D79C1E9.txt. I have noticed that my downstrem WSUS server synchronized successfully and WSUS content folder is installed in E: drive in upstream server and having all permission to network service, system account 3. but my downstream WSUS server's content folder is installed in D: drive. I need help to resolve it. Is there anyone to help me on this to guide? Thanks in Advance

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Please check if there is IIS for the virtual directory self update under WSUS Administrator website. If not, you may manually create virtual directory (Remember, the default path is to be C:\Program Files\Update Services\Selfupdate) in IIS and giving it anonymous access. This is one way check. And of-course, restart the WUS.
Another way, I guess the downstream server is not a replica server, on replica downstream server obtains metadata and content from the upstream server, but perhaps, it could not obtain approvals from the upstream server. Only replica server can obtain approvals from the upstream server. Hopefully, you may do one thing, convert ds server to replica mode is to reinstall it. Hopefully, if a replica server is now can solve your problems. I recommend you, kindly, visit here for Command Line help. This is not exactly point your problems, but you may gather knowledge from here on WSUS.
