WRKQRY
Hi, I am trying to join two files based on common field in wrkqry in select records when i am trying to join based on select records and give condition like T01.fld1 EQ T02.FLD1 I get an error data types are not compatible. both fields are of 6 length but one is numeric and other is character. Please advise how to get the join output based on these different data type fields specially in WRKQRY,however i know how to join them in join SQL query but i want to join them specially through WRKQRY only. Pleople who are master in WRKQRY please advise how to make it possible in WRKQRY. Thanks

You must create a result field converting the numeric field to character

    MyCharFld     Digits(MyNumFld)

You may want to start by viewing the results, myCharFld and MyNumFld to see if it's going to work .. digits will produce the absolute value without scale (decimal point)
