Is there a way to place the count of a item on the same line instead of underneath each counted value?

If you are doing a subtotal count and are only concerned with unique data for example, you can send your summary data to an output file with a break on the field you want your count on..

say sort on order#, put a break on your order#, summary count the # of detail lines,  Send ot output file as summary only. Then write your query over this file to  see you count total on the same line.

You may have to play with it a bit.
