No. The freeware ends with V5R4.
Since V6 wrkdbf costs 450 $. In my
opinion a reasonable price for what you get. There is much pricier
software with much less use on the market.
Alternative is e.g.
Linoma's surveyor for 1000 $. It has a graphical DB editor with all
filtering and sorting, plus a complete DB administration toolset, sql
builder, 5250 screen, file transfer to Excel etc.

PutzGrilla, thanks. I have used DBU for many years. Not sure on current pricing but the last I knew it was several thousand. IBM kinda messed them up on V5R4 by changing internal stuff so the Retrieve Deleted Records function no longer worked.WrkDbf is very reasonable but money is limited. I don’t blame the author one bit for wanting to supplement his retirement. Runqry *n filename, SQL and upddta are the free alternatives. Oh, SEU to find key fields for logical files. Boring, long way around, but it works. I had not used UPDDTA in 14 years. It will come up with the key fields to the file.Nick
Current WRKDBF v10.10.03
You can try DBU from Prodata –> http://dodbu.com/order.rsp

…so the Retrieve Deleted Records function no longer worked.
I can’t recall ever needing such a function at any site I’ve worked. I’ve always been able to recover deleted records just by using native functions.
But I also believe in journals.
